Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back, we hope you had a lovely break and really enjoyed yourselves.

As this is the Summer term, we are all hoping that the sun shines!!! We would ask that all children have sun screen applied before they come in, either in the morning or afternoon. Children who are staying all day, will have it reapplied during the afternoon, if they bring in their own named cream/lotion. Please put it in their bags. We will assume that all children are adequately protected from the sun when they step into the playgroup & therefore will be able to play outside in the sun. PLEASE DON'T FORGET HATS/CAPS.

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back. We hope you had a lovely break, and a warm welcome to all those joining us again this term.

Our topic for this term is “Space & Travel”. We will be finding out how we all get to Playgroup, do we walk, cycle, maybe use our scooters or our parents shoulder or do we live too far away and have to come in the car?. Holidays will also be on the agenda have we been on one are we going on one, how did we get there? Was it a long or short journey? Did we need a map. We shall also be making our own maps, whilst using our maths skills to chart & record everything we find out. We will be looking at all the different ways we travel. Which will also include rockets! Where do they go to? Could it be Mars alongside the Rover!

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back, we hope you all had a lovely summer. We would like to welcome back all the children and parents returning to playgroup and welcome all the new children and parents joining playgroup.

This term our topic is Autumn. We shall be learning all about our environment & how it changes with the new season. Why do the trees change colour & drop their leaves? What do our local animals in Lydiard Park do to prepare for Autumn? Why are there conkers on the ground? We will hopefully be going on a walk to answer some of the questions & see the changes. Which leads us on to asking what do we wear for Autumn, shorts & sandals? We will also be celebrating Harvest Festival, by bringing in food to donate to Swindon's food bank. Along with lots of craft activities.
