Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back, we hope you had a lovely Easter break and really enjoyed yourselves.

This term our topic is “Out Door Fun”. We will be having lots of fun going on bug hunts as well as digging & planting in the front garden. Which was re-barked over the Easter holiday, along with a purchase of a new mud kitchen for all those lovely mud pies!!!. We will be having a visit from Pam the Swindon Borough Environmental Officer on Monday 13th May in the morning. We are hoping to also have a visit from Joe's daddy who is a Police Officer, to go along with the theme in the role play area of a jail!.

Kylie is now back at home in Swindon & is continuing to make great progress in her recovery.

Due to the success of last years dressing up week for the children, we have decided to have another one during the week starting the 20th May, to help raise funds for the playgroup. (More details will follow in a letter)

Our 'WOW' board for all those milestone awards and certificates to be displayed is in the hall. This board is for you to share any achievements made outside of Playgroup, favourite pets or people, birthday treats or trips, not just of the children, but anyone in the family.  If you have a certificate or a picture you would like to share, we would love to put it on display so please bring it in.

The Parent Rota is another way of joining in & working together (also it forms part of the terms and conditions)  and if you would like to help, please sign the sheet on the board in the hall.  Joining the Rota is not the only means of taking part in the life of the Playgroup.  If you have any interests or hobbies you would like to share with the children and staff, please feel free to talk to Julie.

Reminder

I would like to remind Parents/carers of the following point.

PLAYGROUP PARENT/CARERS ARE NOT TO PARK IN THE SCHOOL GROUNDS WHEN DROPPING OFF OR PICKING UP THEIR CHILDREN. THE DESIGNATED PARKING AREA IS THE ROADS WITHOUT YELLOW LINES OUTSIDE THE GATES. THE SCHOOL HAS MADE IT KNOWN TO ME THAT THERE ARE A FEW OF OUR PARENTS/CARERS WHO ARE CHOOSING TO IGNORE THIS. PLEASE DON'T! BY DOING THIS YOU ARE PUTTING THE PLAYGROUP AT RISK OF LOSING OUR SITE.
