Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome back, we hope you had a lovely Easter break and really enjoyed yourselves.

I would like to thank everyone for their support for the Easter Raffle & the donations towards the children's Easter party. They raised a wonderful £571 together.

I would also like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone, their family & friends who have donated on Greendown Playgroup's Just Giving page, which raised a fantastic £3,378.31! We have now closed the page. This money will help keep the playgroup going during these difficult times.

This term our topic is “Out Door Fun”. We will be having lots of fun going on bug hunts as well as digging & planting in the front garden. Our back play area will also be home to our home made obstacle courses, bear hunts & many other fun activities! As this is now the time of year the sun can make an appearance, please can you make sure all children have sun screen applied before they come in, either in the morning or afternoon. Children who are staying all day, will have it reapplied during the afternoon, if it is needed & they bring in their own named cream/lotion. Please put it in their bags. We will assume that all children are adequately protected from the sun when they step into playgroup & therefore will be able to play outside in the sun. So don't forget the the sun hats as due to covid we are not able to have our tub of playgroup sun hats out!

We will be holding a dressing up week for the children during the week starting the 17th May, to help raise funds for the playgroup. (More details will follow in a letter)

Our 'WOW' board for all those milestone awards and certificates to be displayed is in the hall. This board is for you to share any achievements made outside of Playgroup, favourite pets or people, birthday treats or trips, not just of the children, but anyone in the family.  If you have a certificate or a picture you would like to share, we would love to put it on display so please bring it in.

Reminder

I would like to remind Parents/carers of the following point:

PLAYGROUP PARENT/CARERS ARE NOT TO PARK IN THE SCHOOL GROUNDS WHEN DROPPING OFF OR PICKING UP THEIR CHILDREN. THE DESIGNATED PARKING AREA ARE THE ROADS WITHOUT YELLOW LINES OUTSIDE THE GATES. THE SCHOOL HAS MADE IT KNOWN TO ME THAT THERE ARE A FEW OF OUR PARENTS/CARERS WHO ARE CHOOSING TO IGNORE THIS. PLEASE DON'T! BY DOING THIS YOU ARE PUTTING THE PLAYGROUP AT RISK OF LOSING OUR SITE.
